Maintenance and Stewardship
Preserving a historic structure is an ongoing commitment.
With an emphasis on preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and repair methods designed for historic materials, we support long-term stewardship that will preserve the Noble Hardee House for years to come. Explore how ongoing care keeps history alive.
Thorough documentation is an important part of any conservation process. This project will generate important knowledge for future historians and architectural conservators, including historic research, results of material analysis, diagrams of construction typology, and documented locations of intervention. Archiving this information can assist with future maintenance and preservation by providing means and methods used during this restoration to guide future repairs.
Documentation
Once restoration is complete a cyclical maintenance program will be developed. Routine inspections and repairs will allow the Noble Hardee House to retain the goals established as part of this project for years to come. Preventative maintenance can help avoid major issues before they occur and extend the lifespan of the building.
